This programming class is great for beginners that want to see what programming is all about! This class is meant to cover programming fundamentals using the Python programming language. Python is one of the easiest computer languages to learn for students interested in programming or just want a taste of it. Python is also a real programming language actually used by companies such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, and more around the world. Discussion and questions are widely encouraged.
This class will use a web-based coding platform for learning Python called Repl.it. This means no downloads or installations will be required besides the class video streaming platform to view our virtual class.
Some topics covered include: Learning how a computer “thinks” and waits for our commands, How to think like a programmer?, Basic programming concepts such as: -Computer language grammar (Syntax), What are errors/bugs?, Print statements, Variables, Conditional statements and Control Structures.
