TECH LAB: Maker-Teacher Lounge

Maker-Teacher Lounge (2 hours, includes mini-lesson)

Are you a teacher who is tasked with starting a makerspace this year? Or are you a long-time veteran maker-teacher who would like to be able to ask questions from experts and compare notes with your colleagues? Join us for this session of our monthly Maker-Teacher Lounge to learn about 3D printing!

STEM World's Maker-Teacher Lounge events are offered twice per month, one Saturday and one Tuesday evening per month.  Each 2-hour event features a 20 minute mini-lesson about 3D printing, coding, or other topics about design/STEAM/maker learning of interest to the group. The rest of the time is dedicated to individual questions, peer discussions and so on.

If your printer uses proprietary software, bring a laptop with that software installed and we will do our best to see how to adapt our advice for your software.
Must be 18+ (adult/teacher)
Note: Because 3D printing takes a long time and because our shop printers may not be the same as yours, we do not print student projects in these classes. Rather, we focus on getting you started on your own printer.
