Velociraptor Facts:
Velociraptor (meaning "speedy thief") is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived approximately 75 to 71 million years ago during the later part of the Cretaceous Period, and had a sharp, deadly, sickle-shaped, retractable, 3.5-inch (9 cm) claw on each foot (located on each second toe). Two species are currently recognized, although others have been assigned in the past.
